Nestled in the heart of mid-city, you’ll find the La Brea Tar Pits, a unique urban Ice Age excavation site that provides a glimpse into Los Angeles 50,000 years ago.

The Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County invite you to go behind-the-scenes to view millions of plant and animal fossils and speak with Dr. Regan Dunn, Co-Curator and expert paleobotanist, about the ways our findings inform the future. Enjoy a delicious lunch from Le Pain Quotidien and immerse yourself in the wonders of early L.A.

Parking: Complimentary self-parking at the Tar Pits lot, located on the corner of West 6th Street and South Curson Avenue

Menu: An assortment of tartines, sandwiches, fresh salads, and desserts.
